Citroen will be bringing the new DS3 to Frankfurt
The DS3 – a MINI competitor – is the first model in Citroen’s DS range, designed to be an upmarket range of cars based on their more prosaic ‘C’ siblings. We can expect to see the Citroen DS4 in 2011 and the bigger Citroen DS5 in 2012. The DS3 is based on the new Citroen C3 – which will itself only be launched in November – and is slightly larger all round than the MINI.
Ford revealed customized versions of the Focus ST on Monday for the upcoming SEMA show in November. The four new hatches add to the company's Dreamcase, a website that shows off what Ford will offer at the aftermarket show. The Focus ST by PM Lifestyle gets a Banks Power straight-shot water methanol injection system along with 19-inch wheels from Rotiform, GT Radial Champiro tires, Sparco seats and Schroth Racing five-point harness.

Renault has announced the 500bhp Renault Sport Trophy racing car, set to compete in a new one-make race series from 2015. Built by Italian chassis developer Dallara and powered by a Nismo engine, the new 2014 Trophy racer looks likely to have impressive performance figures and, judging by Renault’s teaser picture, just as impressive styling. Adding to the racing pedigree is a 1,100kg weight, seven-speed sequential gearbox by Sadev and specially created Michelin tyres.
